This is the approximate site of the colonial-era Richard Gibbs Burial Ground which contains the remains of Gibbs and 12 family members. Gibbs was born in England and came to America in 1746. He lived on a 205-acre farm on this land that he called Eddington, after an estate in his native land. A strong supporter of the American Revolution, Mr. Gibbs was also a teacher, clerk, and sheriff in Bucks County. |
